Mountain Bread and Flour Festival
Folgaria, September 12 and 13, 2026
There is a scent that tells the story of the most authentic mountain: that of freshly baked bread.
A scent that speaks of skilled hands, carefully cultivated fields, seeds preserved through time, and a tradition that continues to live while looking towards the future.
With “Seeds of the Future”, the Alpe Cimbra dedicates a special event to mountain bread and the value of ancient grains and local varieties, symbols of biodiversity, sustainability, and territorial identity.
An opportunity to rediscover the deep connection between land, agriculture, and community, and to explain how the recovery of traditional seeds can become a valuable resource for the future of high-altitude lands.
The festival will be a moment of meeting and sharing among:
- farmers
- bakers
- chefs
- local mountain flour producers
protagonists of a supply chain that centers on quality, respect for the environment, and enhancement of the territory.
Among talks, workshops, producer market, and experiences, the public will be able to approach the world of resilient mountain farming, learn about the nutritional value of ancient grain flours, and be guided on a journey filled with authentic flavors and ancient wisdom.
There will be exciting moments for adults and children:
- workshops to learn how to knead mountain bread
- demonstrations of grain milling from kernel to flour
- guided tastings
- producer market with local flours, bread, baked goods, honey, jams, and craft grain beers.
An event that scents of tradition, tells of sustainability, and celebrates the truest soul of Alpe Cimbra, where even a simple act like making bread becomes an expression of culture, future, and love for the mountain.
