In the heart of Folgaria, where in the early decades of the 20th century the mountain was the true teacher and skiers tackled untouched slopes armed only with wooden skis and great passion, the figure of the ski instructor was born.
It was a pioneering era: no lift systems, basic equipment, just the beauty of the snow and the skill of those who knew how to read it.
With the arrival of the first ski lifts and single-seat chairlifts, skiing began to change. The profession of the ski instructor evolved as well, gaining a regulated and officially recognized identity. It was precisely during this period of transformation, in the 1950s, that the Scuola Italiana Sci Folgaria was founded—the first on the plateau: a school built on expertise, innovation, and the desire to share skiing with an ever-growing audience.
Since then, we have grown together with our mountain. From the five instructors of the early days, today we count over 100 professionals among members and collaborators, including alpine ski instructors, snowboard, telemark and freestyle teachers, as well as coaches specialized in competitive training. A diverse, highly qualified team, united by a passion that knows no season.
We are passionate about the mountains and place our skills at the service of families, athletes and children who wish to approach skiing in a safe, fun and educational way.
We have been operating in this area for generations, with a deep connection to the Folgaria Alpe Cimbra plateau and an in-depth knowledge of every slope and every snow condition.
