The Cimbrian language

Discovering the ancient Cimbrian language
It is an ancient German dialect brought on the plateau of Lusérn around the year 100 by Bavarian settlers who in various migratory waves abandoned their lands in search of new territories to be colonized. The period of maximum extension of the Cimbrian language is beginning of 1700; Lusérn has remained today the last bulwark of the Cimbrian dialect at the beginning of the 18th century its culture and traditions.
