Tribute to Elvio Fachinelli (1928–1989) - Conference Cycle
The Lusérn Museum dedicates an important cycle of conferences to Elvio Fachinelli, one of the most original figures in Italian psychoanalysis of the late 20th century.
“Tribute to Elvio Fachinelli” is a deepening journey that focuses on the relevance of his thought: the relationship between the unconscious and the individual, the critique of the processes of psychologization in society, the link between care, education, and social transformation. An opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange with scholars from universities and research centers, to revisit Fachinelli in light of contemporary challenges related to mental health and educational dynamics.

The refined analysis that a young Elvio Fachinelli conducted in the 1960s based on the works of his patient Laura shows us how far a drawing can be another way of telling oneself.

Starting from the political writings of Elvio Fachinelli, this meeting critically interrogates the growing psychologization of experience, highlighting risks, ambivalences, and relevance.

In the intellectual climate surrounding the '68, alongside voices like Franco Basaglia and Ronald Laing, Fachinelli develops original thought: the idea of an analytical practice aimed also at the working class and an innovative approach to the bodily dimension in psychotherapy.

The cycle is set within the context of the exhibition “Laüt vo Lusérn – People of Luserna”, promoted by the Cimbrian Institute / Kulturinstitut Lusérn, which brings together Fachinelli's thought with the pictorial work of Rheo Martin Pedrazza, creating a dialogue between art and introspection, identity, and memory.
An event that unites culture, reflection, and territory, in the heart of Luserna.
