Folgaria (ITA) confirmed as the host for the FIS Junior World Championships in Alpine Snowboarding 2026
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) is pleased to confirm that Folgaria (Italy) will host the FIS Junior World Championships in Alpine Snowboarding 2026, scheduled for March 25 to 29, 2026.
Located in the Trentino region of northern Italy, Folgaria is a renowned destination for winter sports, offering a perfect blend of modern facilities and a rich alpine tradition.
The competition will take place on the legendary Salizzona slope, in the Fondo Grande area - Folgaria.
The location has already hosted several FIS Europa Cup races, demonstrating experience and capability in organizing high-level international competitions. “We would like to thank FISI and Folgaria for their willingness to support Alpine Snowboarding and host what we are sure will be an extraordinary event.
Folgaria is an experienced organizer and we are already looking forward to a week of exciting competitions next March,” said Peter Krogoll, FIS Race Director and Snowboard Coordinator.
The upcoming Junior World Championships will bring together the most promising young athletes in the disciplines of Parallel Giant Slalom, Parallel Slalom, and mixed team parallel events, marking another significant milestone in the development of Alpine Snowboarding at an international level.
