1) Discover the 60 km of trekking in Trentino on the Vigolana plateau: a paradise for nature lovers
We are talking about a scenic itinerary that connects the main historical, environmental, and landscape areas of the Altopiano della Vigolana and the Valle del Centa. The itinerary allows you to cross a wonderful patchwork of forests, vineyards, chestnut groves, and apple orchards. It passes through ancient historical centers and then presents a wide and gentle valley with a typically rural landscape, dominated at the bottom by fruit crops and meadows, and along the slopes by majestic forests of conifers, beeches, and chestnuts. The loop circuit mostly develops on dirt roads and is made up of a series of shorter paths that start from inhabited centers and are marked by white and red signage bearing the Vigolana logo and the identifying number of the route, number 1. Particularly suitable for families and accessible with a handbike. Don't miss the scenic viewpoint "Anza Rossa" in the Campregheri area, from which you can enjoy a stunning view of Lake Caldonazzo.

2) The Becco di Filadonna and the Casarotta Refuge between Trekking and Alpine Magic
The most beautiful hikes in Trentino: we can't help but suggest the Altopiano della Vigolana to discover and experience one of the most beautiful scenic trails in Trentino, ideal also for a day hike. The hike to the Becco di Filadonna will take you up to 2150 meters with a spectacular view of the city of Trento and the surrounding valleys. The route is a bit challenging, but the panorama will reward every effort. To reach the summit, there are two paths, each more fascinating than the other; just choose whether to start from the center of Folgaria or near Carbonare, in front of the Sindech restaurant. Starting from Folgaria, you'll take a more demanding trail that will lead you through the fascinating 3 peaks of Monte Cornetto with vast panoramas, where at one point, you’ll find yourself in a completely different environment. If you follow the route starting from Sindech, you'll opt for a somewhat "easier" path; this trail ascends steeply through the forest and takes you to the first must-see stop, the Rifugio Casarota, where in the summer, from June 20th to September 20th, you can even meet Alpacas grazing in the alpine pasture. After another 2 hours of fascinating zigzagging trail, you'll reach the Bus de le Zole (2070 m), where the view opens up, and in no time, you’ll finally arrive at the summit cross at 2150 meters, where the view will leave you speechless! A 360° panorama of much of Trentino: the city of Trento, the Valsugana, the Adamello group, the Brenta Dolomites, the lakes of Levico, Caldonazzo, Lavarone, the Mocheni valley, and the peaks of Lagorai.

After taking some unique photos, you can add a detour to this hike and reach the Vigolana Hut via trail 450 to reach the Vigolana Hut (2030 m), built on a rocky outcrop with a unique view of the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo.

• Meet the Alpacas of the Rifugio Casarota: A unique experience not to be missed is meeting the alpacas in Trentino. These gentle animals are extremely curious and friendly. You can find them in the summer at the Rifugio Casarota, which is accessible through a hike in the forest. It’s a great excuse to get children and teenagers walking and introduce them to this gentle animal.

3) Discovering Monte Marzola: History and Nature at Every Step

• You can't discover Trentino without exploring Cima Marzola , which, at 1,738 meters, is another must-see destination in the Altopiano della Vigolana.
This mountain not only offers scenic trails, but is also rich in history. During the First World War, Marzola was used for the construction of fortifications and trenches, which can now be visited through historical routes. From the top of Marzola, you can enjoy a wonderful view of Trento and the entire Adige valley, from the Sciliar to the Dolomites of Brenta. The trail is generally suitable for families, but it’s important to consider the age of the children and the level of experience.

The Marzola Loop: a peaceful circular hike that traverses the side of the mountain, offering incredible views. An ideal path for families and those looking for a relaxing walk immersed in nature, with the added benefit of exploring the area’s beauty at a slower pace.

A pleasant walk for families with strollers that follows a circular path between the towns of Bosentino and Vigolo Vattaro. At several points along the walk, there are play facilities (Playground in Bosentino and Vigolo Vattaro), and shaded benches and picnic tables are available near Castel Vigolo and the Sanctuary of Madonna del Feles.

4) Vigolana on mountain bike
There are perfect pairings, like Vigolana and biking. Let’s discover together a couple of bike trails you shouldn't miss…
A scenic route, the Giro della Marzola, to explore the mountain of the same name and its stunning views!
This 30 km route, challenging but rewarding, offers spectacular views of the Adige Valley, Monte Bondone, the northern slope of Vigolana, the Valsugana, and the Valle dei Mocheni. The main climb, about 7 km long, starts in Susà at 450 m above sea level and reaches 1205 m above sea level at Terre Rosse, at the top of Mount Marzola. An adventure that offers breathtaking views and a unique experience for MTB enthusiasts!
