12.02.2020 - Trentino offers a wide range of family hotels and we have chosen the Luna Bianca hotel among all.
It is a family hotel, simple and welcoming for both, children and parents. Located in a very convenient position to reach the center with a short walk.
And, since hunger is always high in the mountains, I list some characteristic places, which they recommended, to taste the best typical dishes.
STELLA D'ITALIA REFUGE
Ideal after a good skiing, or in the evening, climbing with the snowcat, a crazy experience, feasible even with young children.
The menu is: Cheese platters, dumplings, typical dishes. All enjoyed in front of a wonderful fireplace. 8/9 rating
It is located in Costa, very close to the ski slopes, we went there for lunch after 2 hours of skiing.
A modern, well-kept place where we ate divinely traditional dishes of Italian and Trentino cuisine.
This place impressed us particularly with the generous and excellent portions, its warm and welcoming atmosphere and the kind and smiling staff. Attention to the portions: when it is said to be abundant, in this case it is more realistic than ever.
If you go to Folgaria, you can't not go there!
HOTEL LA BAITA:
It is a hotel, but inside it has a fantastic restaurant with an even more incredible cuisine .. we went there twice !!!
THE COE OSTERIA:
Typical last supper! 8 km from Folgaria, at 1610m altitude. A rustic, warm place, excellent service around the fireplace. Really very good traditional cuisine.
HAVE FUN IN TRENTINO
In Trentino, fun for families with children is not lacking: in fact, there are many baby parks ready to welcome us both in summer and in winter.
We went to Neveland in Lavarone, a wonderful playground on the snow!
With free access, it offers a large area where you can slide by any means: sled, bob, small pan that can be rented not far from the ski slopes.
In addition to this there is a fabulous track for sliding with rubber boats and a sled lift. Beautiful and truly exciting! (I don't tell you what a struggle to take Leo away from there).
For those who love skiing, there is the possibility to do it in the Skiarea which offers 104KM of slopes and 15 ski lifts and without removing the equipment you can reach the Vezzena Pass, on the border with Asiago and Veneto. Here there are comfortable tracks of every difficulty that offer splendid panoramic views as well as tasty possibilities to have lunch in characteristic and welcoming refuges.
Only this year, after almost 5 years, I finally managed to have two half days on skis and you have no idea how much I enjoyed going back.
Trentino also has wonderful lakes that are absolutely worth visiting. One of these is Lake Lavarone (about an hour from Trento): we went there on a sunny morning and we were really fascinated by the relaxing feeling of this place. We walked around the lake with the stroller in about half an hour. It was the first time that I saw an entirely frozen lake and it was truly impressive.
Another attraction in Trentino are the Christmas markets. There are many but we went to Bertoldi's: a fairytale historical center, characterized by soft lights, narrow streets that wind through ancient views dedicated to rural activities, where time seems to stand still.
In short, girls, I could spend hours here telling you every detail of this super holiday and I hope I have answered some of the questions you asked me!
If you plan to go to Trentino for a few days, I wish you wonderful days as they have been for us.
Nature, fun, relaxation and lots of good food .. what else to want?
Hi Folgaria, for sure we will see you next year!
