OPES, a Sports Promotion Body recognized by CONI, organizes Theoretical and Practical Seminar for Under-Ice Diving

ei giorni 07 / 08 February 2026 in the locality of Lavarone (TN), the 11th edition of the OPES Under-Ice Diving Training Camp will take place, an event that will be attended by hundreds of divers from all over Italy.

The event, in addition to being a valuable test for amateur divers, also represents an excellent training opportunity for the purpose of employing volunteers in civil protection operations.

Starting at 3:00 PM on Saturday the 7th, in the conference hall of the Municipality of Lavarone, a series of interesting topics will be presented by outstanding speakers.
The seminar is mandatory for divers who wish to dive the following day. Issues related to HYPOTHERMIA will be addressed, along with a presentation on DAN EUROPE research in the field of diving medicine.

The Genoa Carabinieri Diving Unit and the Divers of the Venice State Police will explain in detail how operations are carried out, with a brief demonstration of how divers will be harnessed and which signals (tugs on the line) they must use to communicate with the surface operator. An essential requirement is possession of a first-level diving certification and strict compliance with all instructions provided by the organizers.
The theoretical conference will open with greetings from the National Head of the OPES Diving Sector, Vincenzo Polimeni.
