Authentic Winter in the Heart of Trentino

Weekends and ski weeks among slopes, huts, and hospitality for everyone

Alpe Cimbra is the simplest and closest answer for those seeking an authentic mountain holiday, among forests and breathtaking views. Here you’ll find 100 kilometers of perfectly groomed ski slopes and 80 kilometers for cross-country skiing: there’s room for beginners as well as for those looking for wide slopes and more technical descents, always between 1,200 and 1,850 meters in altitude. The ski area is served by modern lifts, smooth connections, and programmed snowmaking ensuring consistent conditions throughout the season, so you can choose your weekend without chasing weather reports. Those who love Nordic skiing will find trails winding through clearings and alpine pastures, with centers like Millegrobbe and Passo Coe, known for the quality of their tracks and typical Trentino hospitality: an invitation to slow down, breathe deeper, and discover the mountains step by step.If adrenaline calls, Alpe Cimbra offers “champion slopes”: it’s no coincidence that, in preparation for Milan-Cortina 2026, the USA men’s national team chose to train here on the Agonistica and Salizzona runs—two courses that set the standard. A strong signal of the area’s technical quality and the care with which the slopes are maintained. But Alpe Cimbra is not only about skiing. It’s a complete offer combining snowshoeing through vast forests, fat biking on groomed trails, sledding for kids, dog sledding, and walks to mountain huts where you can warm up with soup or a slice of strudel.Families receive special attention: Family Emotion accommodations support parents and children with entertainment, mini clubs, and daily activities designed to enjoy time together and discover the mountains safely and easily.

For those seeking peace and elegance, the Charme & Retreat collection offers selected hotels, residences, and high-end apartments: refined settings, contemporary design, and Trentino warmth to recharge after a day in the snow. Here, the mountain is truly for everyone. With the “Alpe Cimbra 4 All” project, accessibility is not a slogan but a concrete service: thanks to specific aids, trained instructors, and equipped rentals, people with disabilities can independently practice alpine or cross-country skiing or enjoy snow excursions safely. It’s an inclusive network—from lifts to hospitality—that makes Alpe Cimbra a national reference point for accessible tourism. When planning your winter, think of a ski week your way: the variety of slopes allows you to alternate technical mornings with relaxing afternoons in huts, while wider trails are perfect for regaining confidence on skis without straining your legs. The plateaus also invite you to “slow” days: a morning cross-country loop, lunch in a mountain hut, and a walk at sunset when the forest turns silent. If you travel with company, the accommodation offer is wide-ranging: from family hotels with services for couples seeking tranquility to apartments for groups of friends who wish to share time and space. As for getting around at high altitude, the lifts efficiently connect the various ski areas, reducing queues and transfers, while the programmed snowmaking protects against weather uncertainties typical of early and late season. In addition, the network of huts and mountain restaurants offers quality stops without leaving the slopes: local cuisine, bright dining rooms, and sun terraces on mild days. For children, learning is easier when they feel welcome: ski schools, dedicated practice areas, and tailor-made activities turn the experience into play and discovery. For non-skiers, the day passes quickly among spas, walks, and shopping in the plateau villages—with the idea that on holiday everyone can follow their own rhythm and then meet again, at the right time, in front of a fireplace.

1) New cable car: more comfortable, faster, more spacious
The winter novelty is the Leitner 10-seat cable car Francolini–Sommo Alto: it replaces the old lift and connects 1,178 meters at Francolini to 1,620 meters at Sommo Alto over 2.8 km in about 8 minutes. The cabins, large and practical, allow skis and snowboards to be placed inside; from the top, you can immediately access the Salizzona or move toward Fondo Piccolo, Alpe di Coe, Fiorentini, Ortesino, and Costa. Highlighted is the Francolini slope, 3.2 km through the woods with new Techno-Alpin snowmaking systems, leading back to the valley station.
