Alpe Cimbra in Trentino kicks off the 2026 summer bike season with FolgaRace, 100 Km dei Forti, Tour Transalp, new gravel routes and two bike parks

Alpe Cimbra is ready to launch the 2026 summer season with an increasingly wide-ranging bike offer designed for different types of riders, all brought together by the same desire to experience nature, excitement and quality riding. Mountain biking, gravel, trail riding, family-friendly routes and high-profile national and international events make this Trentino plateau one of the most attractive destinations for two-wheel outdoor tourism.
The mountain bike season will begin with FolgaRace, taking place in Serrada on 23 and 24 May 2026. This enduro event will bring riders and fans onto the flowing trails of Bike Park FolgaRide, with technical special stages, pedal-powered climbs and lift-assisted descents creating a weekend full of adrenaline, action and atmosphere. FolgaRace will be the first major MTB appointment of the summer on Alpe Cimbra, setting the tone for a destination that continues to strengthen its reputation as a hub for riding and active outdoor experiences.
One of the season’s standout events will once again be the 100 Km dei Forti 2026, a signature race for Alpe Cimbra and one of the best-known highlights of its bike calendar. Now firmly established in the mountain bike scene, the event attracts riders from across Italy and beyond, combining sporting challenge with high-altitude scenery and iconic sections that pass the Austro-Hungarian forts that define the area’s unique historical identity.

The 100 Km dei Forti is more than a race: it is also one of the top riding suggestions for anyone wanting to discover Alpe Cimbra along a legendary route. Forest trails, panoramic climbs, military roads, spectacular views and an environment of outstanding natural beauty make it one of the must-ride experiences of summer 2026, whether tackled as a full challenge or enjoyed in selected sections at a more relaxed pace.
Shortly afterwards, the spotlight will shift to another prestigious event: Tour Transalp 2026, which will stop in Lavarone on 26 and 27 June 2026. Known as one of Europe’s most spectacular amateur road stage races, Tour Transalp will bring hundreds of cyclists from different countries to Alpe Cimbra, further enhancing the destination’s international visibility and confirming its ability to host major cycling events.
Alongside these flagship events, one of the key additions for 2026 will be the launch of new gravel routes, created to respond to one of the strongest trends in contemporary cycle tourism. These itineraries are designed for riders looking for freedom, variety and immersion in the landscape, alternating gravel tracks and quiet secondary roads through forests, alpine pastures and wide-open mountain views. The new routes offer a fresh way to explore Alpe Cimbra, with a riding experience that is authentic, engaging and perfectly in tune with today’s gravel spirit.

The offer is rounded out by Alpe Cimbra’s two bike parks, which reinforce the destination’s status as a reference point for riders of all levels. From gravity and flow lines to areas suited to learning, skills development and family riding, the bike parks are a central part of the summer experience. Well-shaped trails, dedicated services and a welcoming atmosphere make it possible to enjoy the mountains safely and with maximum fun.
Summer 2026 on Alpe Cimbra is shaping up to be a season where every rider can find their own ideal experience: the energy of FolgaRace as the MTB season opener, the challenge of the 100 Km dei Forti, the international appeal of Tour Transalp, the exploratory character of the new gravel routes, and the fun and progression offered by the two bike parks. Together with an extensive network of trails, this makes the area an ideal destination for active weekends, bike holidays and outdoor getaways.
With an increasingly structured and distinctive bike offer, Alpe Cimbra continues to strengthen its position as a destination where sport, landscape, history and hospitality come together, offering cyclists a 2026 summer season to enjoy to the fullest, one pedal stroke at a time.
