From December 9 to 13 and from December 14 to 18, Alpe Cimbra will host the winter training camps of CIP Emilia-Romagna and CIP Veneto, fundamental preparation moments for Paralympic athletes ahead of the competitive season. In the new year, from January 15 to 17, SKIGAST 2026 – 1st session will take place, followed from January 16 to 18 by the 1st Stage of the FISDIR Ski Race Cup Italian Cup (www.fisdirskiracecup.org), a major national event featuring athletes with intellectual and relational disabilities. From February 2 to 4, the event “Snow Makes No Distinctions – Together to Break Down Barriers in Access to Sport”(www.gillette.it/it-it/bomber-vs-king) returns, a project combining sport, solidarity and inclusive communication. This initiative is part of the “Champions Every Day” program by Procter & Gamble (P&G), global partner of the International Olympic and Paralympic Committees. The program includes a series of concrete actions launched in view of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games to promote and facilitate access to sport for young people with disabilities in Italy. The goal is to encourage a healthy lifestyle, foster inclusion and socialization, and support the development of the Paralympic Movement in the country. From Sunday February 1 to February 8, the Freerider Ski Tour also takes to the slopes:
“Our journey – says Nicola Busata – started with those who, as instructors or skiers, found themselves having to rethink their lives from a seated position due to illness or accident, determined not to lose their passion for skiing and sport in general.”In March, a double event: from March 5 to 7 with the 2nd session of SKIGAST 2026, and on March 14 and 15 with the X COLOR TOUR. The protagonists of the weekend will be the children and young people of the Verona-based non-profit organization Continuando a Crescere, which, in collaboration with I Bambini delle Fate, works on inclusion activities for people with disabilities and their families. The Rossignol X-Color Tour will in any case be open to everyone and will also offer the opportunity to test the best skis of the brand with the rooster logo.
Under the motto “Beyond Human Potential”, Alpe Cimbra establishes itself as a destination of excellence for inclusion on snow. A pioneering project of research and applied experimentation in adaptive sport takes to the slopes to enable an athlete with complete spinal cord injury to ski independently in an upright position.Beyond Human Potential is a project that combines neuroscience, technology and sport with a clear objective: allowing Michel Roccati, an athlete with complete spinal cord injury, to return to skiing while standing. Alpe Cimbra in Trentino, with the slopes of the Folgaria Lavarone ski area, will become for the 2025/2026 season the place where Beyond Human Potential – the challenge that unites will come to life.
“Alpe Cimbra 4All” is the result of collaboration between APT Alpe Cimbra, the Italian Paralympic Committee, FISDIR, sports associations, local authorities and private partners.A project that enhances the Trentino territory as a model of hospitality, sport and social sustainability, where snow becomes common ground for everyone.
