Wooden sculptures and illustrative panels located along the route tell the characters who populate the local tradition among corners of nature, woods, pastures and views of the Val d'Astico.
The Path of the Imaginary is a beautiful route in the woods and pastures of Luserna, inspired by the legends and characters of the Cimbrian popular imagination such as Frau Pertega and Tüsele Marüsele.
A ring of approximately 7 km, to be covered comfortably in a couple of hours, with a slight difference in altitude.
Characteristic are the wooden works by local artists and the legends scattered along the route, which allow you to discover the characters that imagination and popular tradition have handed down over the centuries.
The stretch in the middle of the woods with the basilisk-dragon is beautiful, leading to the alpine lake with the bear sculpture, until you reach Malga Campo where you can stop and taste simple and genuine dishes.
From here we start again crossing an expanse of flowery fields and at the edge of the woods we come across the panel that explains the legend of Sambinelo, an elf dressed in red who manifested himself to a woman, making her wander for an entire day until she got lost... the spirits of the forest they often recur in native tales (and not only): symbol of a past time, they may or may not help the inhabitants, but it is always good practice to keep them good and grant them what they ask for, so as not to find themselves having to deal with the spite.
