GranPremio Giovanissimi: the Regional Finals stop in Folgaria
Italian youth skiing returns to the forefront on Alpe Cimbra with the 48th GranPremio Giovanissimi Kinder Joy of Moving – Trofeo KIA, one of the most anticipated and significant events of the winter season dedicated to the youngest.
The Italian Ski Instructors Association (AMSI) has announced the schedule of the Regional Finals, which will take place between January and March and represent a fundamental step towards the National Final.
The Trentino will be at the center of the event on Friday, January 23, when Folgaria will host the Regional Final thanks to the organization of the Italian Ski School of Folgaria, with the support of Polisportiva Alpe Cimbra, APT Alpe Cimbra, and FolgariaSki.
The GranPremio Giovanissimi involves over 50,000 children born between 2014 and 2018 every year and has represented a point of reference for almost fifty years for the Italian Ski School and for the sporting and educational growth of young athletes. The path starts within the Ski Schools, the true heart of the project, with giant slalom races designed not just as competition, but as a moment of celebration, comparison, and fun. The best ranked then qualify for the Regional Finals, a decisive stage in a journey that merges sport, values, and passion for the mountains.
The event will take place on the legendary Salizzona slope.
The Folgaria ski area confirms once again to be the ideal competition field for major winter sports events, backed by decades of organizational experience in hosting national and international competitions. It is a perfect setting to welcome young skiers, families, and industry professionals, while also enhancing the Alpe Cimbra area as an excellent destination for sports and winter tourism.
