Sports, community and alpine spirit: the 60th ANA National Giant Slalom Championship in Folgaria
On Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21, 2027, Folgaria and Fondo Grande will host the 60th National Giant Slalom Championship of the National Alpine Association, organized by the ANA section of Trento.
A major sporting event that will bring athletes from all over Italy to Trentino and will also be an opportunity for meeting and sharing among Alpini, families, friends, and associations. The competition will take place on the Salizzona slope, while the center of Folgaria will host ceremonies and side events.
The program
Saturday, March 20 – Folgaria and Fondo Grande
- Morning: track reconnaissance and training at Fondo Grande.
- Afternoon: official inauguration ceremony with flag raising, lighting of the tripod, parade of athletes through the streets of the center, and official addresses.
Sunday, March 21 – Fondo Grande, Salizzona slope
- At 7.30 a.m.: gathering.
- At 8.00 a.m.: track reconnaissance.
- At 9.00 a.m.: start of the races, divided by categories and held on two different courses prepared on the Salizzona slope.
- Following: Alpine Lunch at the Palasport of Folgaria and award ceremony for the winners.
- At 4.00 p.m.: extinguishing of the tripod and lowering of the flag, concluding the event.
A weekend dedicated to sports, friendship, and alpine values, reaffirming the strong bond between the Black Feathers, the mountains, and the Trentino territory.
