Centa Stream Trail

Exciting. Perfect for a short nature walk—simple and accessible.
Starting point: Speck Stube parking area
Route: Out-and-back along the same path
Duration: approx. 40 minutes (one way)
Difficulty: easy
Suitable for strollers: yes
Recommended period: spring/summer/autumn

This itinerary is a small immersion into the sound of water and the memory of the landscape.

From the Speck Stube parking area, you take a comfortable forest road that follows the course of the Torrente Centa. From the very first steps, the sound of the forest gives way to the flowing water, accompanying the walk in a constant and natural way.

The trail gently climbs alongside the stream, through shaded sections and points where the vegetation suddenly opens onto the watercourse. Along the way, you encounter the remains of old mills and former hydraulic structures: discreet traces of a time when this place was shaped by a different daily life, made of work, water and community.

These are not just ruins, but lasting signs that invite you to imagine what once existed here.

Continuing on, you can reach the Molino dei Polentoni, another fragment of this silent history along the stream.

The return follows the same route, once again accompanied by the sound of water and the shade of the forest.

A simple and accessible itinerary, also suitable for families, combining an easy walk with the feeling of entering a landscape that still preserves memory and silence.
Another small “Place of Silence”, where time is not only something that passes, but something that can be felt.
