Costa

1230 m s. l. m.

A village with ancient roots and wide south-facing grazing lands
It is the main suburb of Folgaria, situated at slightly higher altitude compared to the main village, on the road to the Passo Sommo (1343 m).

The origins are ancient, represented by the particular castle Maso Spilzi dated back to the eighteenth-century, now exhibition center (it hosts concerts and thematic exhibitions) and headquarters of the club house of the 18-hole golf course extending in the surrounding area.

The beautiful natural setting that surrounds the Maso is enchanted by the proximity of the Ecken biotope, a protected natural area, and the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie (16th century), an ancient place of worship among the most renowned of Trentino.

Costa is an equipped tourist center, served by hotels, private apartments, residences and shops, in winter one of the main points of access to the ski carousel.

In the surrounding area there are several walking trails, including the Giro del Biotopo, the Salita Fontanelle, the Giro dei Nocchi and the Salita al Forte (High Stakes High and Sella d'Italia Refuge).
